Fallen- Lauren Kate

I was recommended this book by a friend of mine who depicted it as right up my alley.
Okay, so she was right.
I do majorly indulge in the teen-mania fantasy books.
I can’t help it.
It’s the kid in me!

So anyways, I’ll go ahead and give the book 3 out of 5 stars.

It’s written as a series and definitely the end has you wanting more, but then you see that the next one doesn’t come out for another year.

FAIL!

But all in all a nice easy read. Not the best written book I’ve ever read, but not the worst.

All in all:
Recommend

Mortal Instruments Series- Cassandra Clare

This one was also a Stephenie Meyer recommendation and let me say…

LOVED the whole series!

I mean, yes they are young adult oriented so the writing is a little, “like, so totally awesome”, but I really enjoyed the series.

They have basically got your whole gambit of fantasy characters and really interesting twists.  Plus the love story. Gotta have the love story.

5 stars and I like, totally recommend them!

Genesis of Shannara Trilogy- Terry Brooks

Well I already wrote about Gypsy Morph and here are the first two books in the Genesis of Shannara series.

REALLY liked this series. Definitely better then Word/Void series and a great lead up to Sword of Shannara.

I’m telling you people, if you like fantasy and you like series, you should read these books!

5 stars and I recommend

Time Traveler’s Wife- Audrey Niffenegger

Okay, did you see the movie?

Well the book pulls the movie’s pants down and gives it a bare bottom spanking.
It’s THAT much better.

I mean, I cried in the book and just sat through the movie thinking, WHAT? That’s not how that happened!

So yes, read the book and erase the movie from your memory with the true reality of the Time Traveler’s Wife!

5 stars and I recommend it!

Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr- Christopher Paolini

I love dragons.

I do.

Did you ever see that movie with Matthew McConaughey, Reign of Fire? Matthew was all dragon killer with those hot tatoos all over his body… oh wait, that’s not why I love dragons, just a nice mental picture.

No seriously, my love of dragons stems back to Puff the Magic Dragon and my dad always singing us that song when we were younger.

Eragon was a great book and you’ll be even more impressed when you find out that he was just 16 when he wrote the thing! He literally created his own language, a people group, his own world! My hat goes off to Christopher for putting together and AMAZING series.

However, I am SO not happy with the fact that he decided to write a 4th book and is now taking his SWEET ace time getting it written. There isn’t even a projected release date or anything on the website. Boo Christopher for that. Get to writing!

Gets a little wordy at times, but I can’t give him anything less than 5 stars due to the sheer brillance of his story and the way it untangles.
5 stars and definitely recommend.
